Show Choir Competition!
Waking up at 5:15 to get ready for the long day ahead of me. Then my mom has the curl all of my hair. This was a workout in itself. That took longer than expected but i made it to the bus on time. We got there after a 3 1/2 hour bus ride. We settled in for the day and got ready to preform. Our performance went way better than anyone had expected. We did take fourth though but we were happy with our performance which is what counts i think. Then the rest of the day we spent watching other show choirs and some of them were absolutely amazing. Granted they probably have a very large budget. But after awards i was ready to go home. It was only like eight but i think everyone was just ready to leave. We couldn't leave right away though because the fire alarm decided to go off during the middle of awards. But after a good bus ride home i got to go sleep. :)
State Bound :)
Mock Trial is going to state this year. It is only the second time Albert Lea has gone to state. We steam rolled through our first two trials, then on the third found some difficulty and the same on the fourth. As we entered the court room for finals the nerves were high. And it didn't help that the court room liked like a hospital room. It had gray walls and dim lighting and after sitting in there for three hours it made you feel sick. The room would start to spin at times. But we pulled through and were successful. I think the whole team is still in shock. It hasn't sunk in at all. During the trial though there was one part that will probably be a joke for awhile. The opposing lawyer gave Aaron a piece of paper and a pencil. I was sitting there and just smiled like i cant believe you just did that. But like any witness would do he ran out most of there time. That was there worst mistake. But we are going to state because of it :)

Dress Shopping.
I just need to let so of my disappointment out on my blog. Every time we go prom dresses shopping i find nothing. Nothing at all. And i don't have anytime what so ever to go out and have a lot of time to find a dress. And then if i do find a dress it will be to expensive for my mother. She will tell me its other your sophomore year of prom. I understand that but the money she wants to pay is not enough money for anything. I don't really no what to do. I mean i want to go but is it really worth all the stress?
You have to:
1.Find a dress
2.Get a group
3. Find the person willing to have the punch party
4.Figure out where your going for dinner
5. What you are doing after the after prom party
6. Where you are eating breakfast
7.What your doing the next day
I'm just not sure its worth it all.

Can Drive!
Yesterday i finally got my licence. I was so nervous and scared for if i would pass or fail. I worried all day. Then when it came time to take my test all the nerves just simply went away. I got in the car and did the test. After i was done with all the parking i was home free. There was no way i could fail now. It was so exciting when you told me that i had passed. He was kind of interesting. It seemed to me that he hated his job. But anyways i drove a lot yesterday just because i could drive without a parent in the car. Overall i would say that was a great day!!!!

My Birthday!
I am officially 16 years of age now. Since yesterday. I don't really feel any different though. It was just another day because i was on the show choir retreat so i never really got to celebrate. Which was fine because i did the day before. And with my friends we had such a good time! But working on dances on my birthday wasn't how i exactly wanted to spend my birthday but it turned out to be okay. The show choir children made me feel special about it being my birthday. Especially Sam and Morgan. Those guys are to nice to me. Oh and i also got flowers grams at school. :). But the best present is one that will sit in my driveway. I love it. My parents bought me a car! Which was so nice of them to do. And the best part is that its just a tad bit nicer than my brothers first car! :)
Show Choir Retreat :)
Hmm...well the show choir retreat was pretty epic this year. We worked our butts off so hard, so i really hope it pays off. Everyone singing happy birthday to me to was pretty amazing i would say. You have so many talented people singing to you is pretty cool. But anyways we had 1/2 hour break and we practiced from like one to nine. Everyone was totally wiped by the end of dancing and singing all day long. I had people tell you that you practice all day and i just thought they were just saying that but i guess not. It was actually very very true. And then the next day we got to clean everything. Lucky enough sophomore girls got the bathroom. Thanks so much guys. Ha. It wasn't to bad but i would have rather cleaned a cabin. Overall the trip was a success!

Trust. Honesty.
Trust and honesty are such big things in the world today. I don't understand why so many people lie. You will just have to tell another lie to cover up the first one. Don't people understand that lying hurts people? The one person you thought you could trust, then you find out they were lying to you. It doesn't matter if the lie is small or big it is a lie and nothing can take that back or fix what you said. Because now that trust that you thought you had in that person is gone and never coming back. So everyone just be honest and when you are honest, you can be trusted. It really is a great feeling to no that your friends and family trust you enough to tell you secrets. It shows me that they can really trust me.

Yet Another Blog About Mock Trial...
Well our season has not come to an end yet. Which is so exciting. We beat Century in our last round trial. Now its on to sections. Feb. 18th is the first round of sections. And we are going to bring it! We are so determined to make it to state this year. We want it so badly that we will try our hardest to get it. I like writing blogs about mock because no one ever knows what we do or how hard we work because we are not a sports team. I would really like to get recognized for something that we do. Either in the paper or the Alahasa. It would be nice to have people know what we do and how we do it. I'm sure if we make it to state that we wont get a pep rally or anything like the sports teams do. I think that we deserve one out of all the hard work we put into it. Yes it may not be physical endurance but we do put in a lot of thought. I think its finally time for us to get some credit for what we do!!!
